Bestimmungen für den Gerätehalter Das Auffanggerät sowie die Bewegliche Führung sollte einem Benützer individuell zur Verfügung stehen. Unmittelbar vor jedem Einsatz ist eine visuelle Überprüfung sowie eine Funktionsprüfung des Produktes vorzunehmen, um den einsatzfähigen Zustand sicherzustellen. Ein nicht mehr sicher scheinendes Produkt darf im Zweifelsfall NICHT VERWENDET werden und soll sofort ersetzt werden. Zu beachten sind insbesondere: • Beschädigungen von tragenden und für die Sicherheit wesentlichen Bestandteilen wie z. B. Seil und Nähte (Risse, Einschnitte oder sonstiges) • ... -

Maximale Gebrauchsdauer 10 Jahre Die maximale Gebrauchsdauer bei gelegentlicher, sachgerechter Benutzung ohne erkennbaren Verschleiß und bei optimaler Lage- rung beträgt 10 Jahre ab dem Datum der ersten Benutzung. Lagerdauer 2 Jahre Die Lagerdauer vor der ersten Benützung ohne Reduzierung der maximalen Gebrauchsdauer beträgt 2 Jahre ab Herstellungsdatum. Das Auffanggerät muss nach oben leicht mitlaufen und nach unten sofort blockieren! hier die richtige Montage: Zusätzliche Sicherung mit Inbus-Schraube: Der Buddy kann mit der integrierten Inbus-Schraube am Führungsseil fest verschraubt werden, sodass er nicht ohne die Schraube zu lösen vom Führungsseil genommen werden kann. Dadurch kann das Risiko einer falsche Montage durch den Verwender minimiert werden. Regulations for the owner of the equipment The fall arrester as well as the flexible anchor line should be at the individual disposal of its user. Immediately before every use, a visual and functional inspection of the product has to be carried out in order to guarantee that it is in working order. A product which no longer seems safe, must NOT BE USED in case of doubt anymore and should be replaced immediately. Please note especially: • Damage on supporting parts, which are essential for safety, such as ropes and seams (tears, cuts or other) • Damage to plastic and/or metal fittings This inspection may only be omitted if the product is part of emergency equipment and has been inspected and put into a closed container by a competent person. Observe the label for the next regular inspection and the maximum period of use (according to item 3). 2.1 Periodic inspection A visual inspection of the PPE must be carried out at least once a year (the frequency of such an inspection depends on the type and intensity of use) by a COMPETENT PERSON. This visual inspection must include the determination of wear and tear. • The result of this visual inspection • the type • the model • the serial number or individual number • the next inspection • remarks • problems • the examiner’s name and signature or his initials have to be entered on the test sheet (last page!). -

Storage duration 2 years The storage period before first use, without service life being diminished, is 2 years from date of manufacture. Attach the karabiner hook of the flexible anchor line to the anchor point, the karabiner hook of the lanyard or the energy absorber to the full body harness. Take care the karabiner hook is locked correctly! In case of a fall the fall arrester absorbs the occurring fall force because the fall arrester slides on the rope. For this reason take care, while using the fall arrest system, that there is always enough free space below the user in order to avoid impact on the ground in case of a fall from a height. Avoid a slack rope in order to keep the fall short! (see item 6 safety notes). The brake distance reference values are as follows: • with 11 mm KM-rope approx. 0.75 m • with 12 mm KM-rope approx. 0.72 m • with 12 mm Paraloc-rope approx. 0.76 m (these values have been determined by the test insti- tution with a test mass of 100 kg) For safety reasons you should always carry out an operational test before use. For this lead the device on the lanyard upwards, then pull it quickly downwards. The fall arrester must easily run upwards and block immediately downwards! In order to make the guided type fall arrester BUDDY run more smoothly on the flexible anchor line and to avoid a slack rope, we recommend fixing a weight on the lower end of the rope (e. g. euroline ballast bag 5 kg). So the rope is always tensioned guaranteeing problem-free sliding up and down of the guided type fall arrester. liability A. Dispositions s’appliquant au propriétaire Cet antichute ainsi que son support d’assurage flexible doivent être à la disposition d’un seul utilisateur. Une inspection visuelle du produit ainsi qu’un test fonctionnel doivent avoir lieu immédiatement avant chaque utilisation pour s’assurer de l’état opérationnel. Dans le doute, un produit qui ne semble plus sûr ne doit pas être UTILISE mais remplacé aussitôt. Il faut particulièrement faire attention aux : • dégâts des éléments de soutien et essentiels pour la sécurité comme p. ex. corde et coutures (déchirures, coupures ou autres) • endommagements des boucleries en plastique ou métal On ne peut laisser de côté cette inspection que dans le cas où il s’agit d’un élément de l’équipement d’urgence contrôlé préalablement par une personne qualifiée et emballé dans un contenant fermé. Tenez compte de l’étiquette pour la prochaine inspection périodique et la période maximale d’utilisation (selon pt. 3). 2.1 Inspection périodique L’EPI doit être soumis à un examen visuel au moins une fois par an (la fréquence de cette inspection dépend du mode et de l’intensité de l’utilisation) par une PERSONNE QUALIFIEE (selon pt. 2.4). Durée de vie maximale 10 ans La durée de vie maximale en cas d‘utilisation occasionnelle et conforme sans usure détectable et en cas de stockage optimal est de 10 années à partir de la date de la première utilisation. Durée de stockage 12 ans La durée de stockage avant la première utilisation sans réduction de la durée d‘utilisation maximale est de 2 ans à partir de la date de fabrication. En cas de respect de toutes les consignes concernant la manipulation et le stockage, les indications non contractuelles suivantes concernant la durée de vie peuvent être recommandées : • Utilisation quotidienne intense ........moins d‘1 an • Utilisation régulière toute l‘année ........ de 1 à 2 ans • Utilisation régulière saisonnière ........de 2 à 3 ans • ... -

Eviter une corde détendue pour réduire la distance de la chute ! (voir point 6 Remarques de sécurité) Les valeurs indicatives de distances de freinage sont les suivantes: • pour une corde tressée gainée de 11 mm env. 0,75 m • pour une corde tressée gainée de 12 mm env. 0,72 m • pour une corde Paraloc de 12 mm env. 0,76 m (ces valeurs ont été calculées par l’institut d’essai avec une masse d’essai de 100 kg). Afin que l’antichute mobile BUDDY glisse plus facilement sur le support d’assurage flexible et pour éviter que la corde se détende, nous recommandons de fixer un poids (p. ex. sac de lest euroline de 5 kg) à l’extrémité inféri- eure de la corde. Ainsi la corde reste toujours tendue et le glissement vers le haut et vers le bas de l’antichute mobile est garanti. Par sécurité, il convient de toujours faire un essai de fonctionnement avant l’utilisation. Pour cela, faire glisser l’outil vers le haut de la longe, puis le tirer vite vers le bas. L’antichute doit glisser facilement vers le haut et bloquer immédiatement vers le bas! Responsabilité A.
