3) Separate the pump from the case and put it aside (fig. 28).
4) Move the magnetic rotor close to the turbine by opening and disconnecting the chamber from the turbine (Fig. 29).
5) Remove the magnetic rotor along with the turbine chamber; clean them with a brush and plain water. If they are covered with
lime, leave them in diluted acetic acid for 15-20 minutes before brushing. Rinse carefully.
WARNING: Do not use acid or solutions different from diluted acetic acid as they can be toxic for fish.

VII.c MAINTENANCE OF THE VENTILATION SYSTEM

Follow these simple instructions to clean the ventilation system of the pump:
A) Implement paragraphs 1-5 relating to cleaning the rotor turbine.
В) Use a plastic wire packed with service details and insert it into the hole of the motor shaft (Fig. 30).
С) In the event of any difficulties make more efforts. If this fails, try to gently insert the steel wire of suitable diameter.
D) If this action has led to the failure, it is necessary to put the pump housing into the diluted acetic acid and then try to clean it
with a wire. To do so, it is necessary to release the cord pump and to remove the locking mechanisms (Fig. 31).

VII.d REPLACEMENT OF HEATER AND PUMP FILTER

WARNING: It is recommended to remove the power cable from the heater and other appliances before you start the procedure.
To replace the NEWA Therm eco heater, wait at least 15 minutes before removing it from the water.
1) Open the central cover of the aquarium by slackening bolts with a special screwdriver (Fig. 32).
2) Remove the replacement part by disconnecting the case from the special locking mechanisms on a cap or on the internal unit
of the aquarium, or on the upper part of it.
3) Install a new part at the appropriate place and perform the mentioned above actions in the reverse order (Fig. 33-34-35).
4) Return the cover of the NEWA Mirabello aquarium to its original position.

VII.e FLUORESCENT LAMP REPLACEMENT (MIR 60 PL)

WARNING: Disconnect the machine from the electric network during maintenance.
REPLACEMENT OF THE COMPACT FLUORESCENT LAMP - NEWA LUX SUN (Models: NEWA Mirabello MIR 60 PL):
1) Open the cap of the aquarium, and unscrew the bolts that secure the transparent reflector of the lamp protection.
Use a small screwdriver by turning it counter-clockwise (Fig. 36).
2) Take the lamp and remove it from the support (Fig. 37).
3) Replace the used lamp with a new one of THE SAME TYPE. If you have any doubt, consult the retailer.
4) Repeat the mentioned above steps in reverse order. Try to install the reflector in the right position. Insert the gasket in a proper
way to avoid tapping when fixing the screws (Fig. 38).
