The APS-700 is a full featured security system with on board paging technology that provides
you with a direct link to your vehicle from anywhere in the world. In addition to operating the
system from your keychain transmitter, this patent pending technology allows you to operate
the vehicle from any land or mobile telephone. You can command the security system to arm
or disarm, release the trunk, start the vehicle, and in case of a carjacking, put the APS-700 in
a special carjack mode that will flash the lights, sound the siren and prevent restarting of the
vehicle.
The APS-700 can be operated from a telephone by placing a call to the 1-800 number listed on
the wallet card enclosed. Identify yourself, give the operator your secret password and the
function you want your vehicle to perform. The operator will send the command through the
satellite and land based network and within minutes your vehicle will respond. It is advised that
you read this manual in it's entirety to understand all the features and options available to your
vehicle.

  • Page 2 YOUR ANTI CODE GRABBING TRANSMITTERS: The transmitters included with the APS-700 use technology considered to be the most se- cure form of radio frequency transmission available on today's Automotive Security Sys- tems. Thieves today may use a device commonly referred to as a code grabber. With this device, the code transmitted from a common RF transmitter can be captured and played back at a later date to disarm a standard security system.

    point is opened during the 30 second arming cycle, arming will be suspended. When all entry points are closed, the arming cycle will begin again. At the end of the 30 seconds, The parking lights will flash once, the siren will chirp once, and the dash mounted LED will begin to flash slowly confirming the system is armed.

    SILENT DISARMING: As you approach the vehicle, press and hold the arm/disarm button of your key chain trans- mitter for two seconds. The parking lights will flash twice, and the dash mounted LED will turn off confirming that the system is disarmed. If you have the optional door lock/unlock circuit installed, the doors will unlock.
  • Page 5 PROGRAMMING YOUR MANUAL OVERRIDE CODE: Your security system can be disarmed without the use of the keychain transmitter. This is necessary, since you will need the ability to disarm the system if you lose your transmitter, or if the transmitter battery fails. In order to provide the highest level of security, this system will allow you to program your personal manual override code.
