HOME THEATER PLACEMENT

Left and right speaker placement
For maximum performance, locate the left and right speakers at
seated ear level (this is typically 38 to 40 inches from the floor).
The speakers should be separated anywhere from 6 to 10 feet
apart center to center. If possible, locate the speakers at least 18
inches away from the side walls of the listening environment, as
shown in Diagram 1. The main listening position should be 8
to 12 feet away from the left and right speakers.
Center speaker placement
If possible, locate the center channel in your home theater
system at the same level in the wall as the left and right
speakers (38 to 40 inches from the floor ). If you must place
the speaker above or below a television, we recommend
placing the center speaker no more than 2 feet above or below
the center of the left and right speakers. By keeping the
speakers in this 4 foot window you will maintain the same
tonality between the three front speakers.

surround speakers in your home theater. Surround speakers
can be located in the side walls, ceiling or rear wall of your
home theater. The proper placement of surround speakers is
very room dependent. If you are unsure about where to locate
your surround speakers for best performance contact your
Sonance Dealer for advice.
If you are mounting your surround speakers in the ceiling,
locate the speakers 2 to 6 feet behind your listening position.
The speakers should be separated anywhere from 6 to 10 feet
apart center to center.
When mounting the surround speakers in the side wall of your
home theater, locate the speakers approximately 2 to 6 feet
behind the listening position, and 5 to 6 feet from the floor.
Surround speakers located in the rear wall of your listening
room should be 2 to 10 feet behind the listening position, and

I have Sonance Symphony 623T speakers installed in the ceiling of my home theatre room in Melbourne, Australia. They are about 20 years old and two of the plastic Flexbar brackets holding one of the speakers have suddenly broken, so the speaker no longer sits in place. The Flexbar patent number appears to be 5.292.092 and there is also 14-0933 stamped on the bracket. Please let me know if I can order some replacements as I doubt that glue will be strong enough to repair the broken brackets.
