The S-500 is a professional silent snow machine for medium and large events. Unlike the traditional snow machines where you need to rig the complete snow machine, the S-500 can stay on the ground. It has a long flexible hose (10 m) with a nozzle that can be mounted in the truss.

Remove all packing materials from the S-500. Check if all foam and plastic padding is removed, especially in the snow output area. Carefully add a snow liquid to the snow liquid tank. Do not overfill the tank! Use the S-500 only with the Antari or Showtec snow liquids (ordercodes: 60588, 60589 and 80359).
Antari S-500 Snow Machine Tank Hose Installation 01) Loosen the cap on the snow liquid input (03) and remove it. See Fig. 03. 02) Put the tank hose through the cap and attach it firmly to the snow liquid input (03). See Fig. 04.
Antari S-500 Snow Machine Extension Hose Installation It is possible to extend the default output hose with the optional 10-meter ST-10 extension hose (80389). The total length of the output hose must not exceed 20 m. It is forbidden to install more than one ST-10 extension hose.
03) Tighten the adjustment screw to secure the output nozzle (09) in position. Output Nozzle Pan Control It is possible to install the output nozzle on the Antari PM-1, pan motor for the S-500 (ordercode: 80378P) for automated pan control. For more information concerning installation and operation, refer to the user manual of the Antari PM-1.

Antari S-500 Snow Machine Fixture Linking You will need a serial data link to run light shows of one or more fixtures using a DMX-512 controller. The combined number of channels required by all the fixtures on a serial data link determines the number of fixtures the data link can support.
When using multiple S-500 fixtures, make sure that you set the DMX addresses right. Therefore, the DMX address of the first S-500 should be 1(001); the DMX address of the second S-500 should be 1+2=3 (003); the DMX address of the third S-500 should be 3+2=5 (005), etc.
Antari S-500 Snow Machine Main Menu Options 01) Upon start-up, the display will show the device’s current settings: language, software version, voltage and frequency. The current software version is 02) After a couple of seconds, the display will show: 03) Press the MENU button to enter the main menu.
03) Press the STOP button to confirm. The display will show READY TO SNOW. Wireless DMX will not function. The S-500 is not equipped with a wireless DMX module. Contact your Antari dealer to purchase the wireless DMX upgrade kit.
03) If you have chosen ON, the device will try to detect the W2 wireless transmitter. 04) Use the W2 wireless transmitter to operate the S-500. The W2 wireless transmitter needs to be linked before activation. Otherwise, it will not function.
Antari S-500 Snow Machine Remote Control Operation It is possible to use the SC-3 remote control to operate the S-500. The SC-3 remote control is not included and can be purchased separately (60587). Fig. 15 01) Plug the SC-3 remote control into the 4-pin remote control connector IN (15).
Antari S-500 Snow Machine Wireless Operation It is possible to use the W2 wireless transmitter to operate the S-500. The W2 wireless transmitter (60896) and the W2R wireless receiver (60897) are not included and can be purchased separately. Contact your Antari dealer for more information.

Fan speed: 21–100 % Maintenance The S-500 requires almost no maintenance. However, you should keep the unit clean. Disconnect the mains power supply and then wipe the cover with a damp cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents. Do not immerse in liquid.
If a problem occurs, carry out the steps below in sequence until a solution is found. Once the unit operates properly, do not carry out following steps. If the S-500 does not operate properly, refer servicing to a technician. 01) If you experience low output or no output at all, unplug immediately.
Antari S-500 Snow Machine No Response to DMX Suspect the DMX cable or connectors, a controller malfunction, a light effect DMX card malfunction. 01) Check the DMX setting. Make sure that DMX addresses are correct. 02) Check the DMX cable: Unplug the unit; change the DMX cable; then reconnect to electrical power.
