6. Safety instructions

Damage arising due to failure to follow these instructions will void the warranty. We shall not be
liable for any consequential damages.
We shall not be liable for damage to property or personal injury caused by incorrect handling or
failure to observe the safety information! Such cases will void the warranty.
Normal wear and tear and accidental damage (e.g. broken ship propellers or drive/remote control parts with
water damage) are not covered by the warranty.
Dear customer, these safety instructions are provided to ensure the safe operation of the product. Read this
section carefully before using the product for the first time.

a) General information

Important!
This model has the potential to cause injury and damage to property. As a result, ensure that you are
sufficiently insured, e.g. with a personal liability policy. If you already have such a policy, check with your
insurance company that the use of this model is covered by the policy.
Important: Some EU countries prohibit the use of model ships in certain bodies of water.
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product or its components is prohibited for safety
and approval reasons.
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of reach of children under 14 years of age.
• The remote control and components must not become damp or wet.
• The model is only suitable for use in freshwater.
• If you do not have sufficient knowledge of how to operate remote-controlled model ships, contact an
experienced model enthusiast or a model retailer.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended, as it may become dangerous playing material for children.
• If you have any questions that are not answered by these operating instructions, contact us (see
chapter 1 for contact information) or an experienced technician.

b) Plug-in charger

• The charger must only be used in dry indoor rooms. It must not get damp or wet, as this may result in
a fatal electric shock!
• The charger must only be used to charge NiMH batteries. Only use the charger to charge NiMH
batteries. Never use it to charge other types of batteries (such as LiPo batteries), as this may cause a
fire or explosion.
• When connecting a NiMH battery to the charger, always check that the battery is inserted in the correct
polarity (observe the plus/+ and minus/- markings).
• The charger is designed according to protection class II.
• Only plug the charger into a standard mains socket that is connected to the public grid.
• The mains socket must be easily accessible.
