2.1 Introduction to Powerline
The Telesystem P-Link 0.1 is the home plug-in device for high requirements. The fast transfer rate (up to 200
Mbps) makes every intensive Internet application a real multimedia treat. The integrated Quality of Service function
measures the bandwidth requirement, optimises the data flow and ensures excellent quality. Whether in the office
or at homeo, devices such as digital receivers, set-top boxes or computers can be connected with the P-Link 0.1
powerline adapter using the available Ethernet interface. On top of that, the range of 300 meters creates a high
degree of flexibility.
Why using powerline adapters? With powerline adapters you can set up a home network easily, quickly and econo-
mically via your household power grid, without the need for complex and expensive dedicated cabling. The available
performance and effort required for the installation attains speeds you would expect from other LAN technologies.
The installation procedure is truly plug&play (no need of a computer for configuring the adapter) and, in addition,
P-Link 0.1 is green: it can reduce its energy consumption automatically by up to 60% when in standby mode.
2.2 Product Description

• orange: the network connection is suitable for SD video streaming and online gaming; blinking when
data is being transmitted
• red: the network connection is suitable for simple data transfer and Internet access; blinking when data
is being transmitted
3. Ethernet LED indicator: solid green if a 10/100 Mbps ethernet connection exists; blinking when data is being
transmitted.

encryption button, please see the section 2.4.1.
NOTE
Please note that all P-Link 0.1 devices to be connected to your network are also connected to your
household electrical wiring. A P-Link 0.1device switches to Standby mode after a short while if no
active network device such as a computer is connected to the network port. In Standby mode, the
device cannot be accessed via the power supply grid. As soon as the network device (e.g. computer)
connected to the network interface is switched on again, your device can also be reached again via the
electrical wiring.
5. Ethernet (RJ45) port: ethernet cable must be connected here
6. Power plug: to be inserted in power socket.
