GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS General safety instructions 1.1 Signal words for safety instructions The safety instructions in this operation manual are designed to prevent hazards. They can be found in the operation manual before an operation / task / activity is described, which can entail a possible hazard.
An additional limit switch with several options can also be used if required. Besides the measuring mode the DPC310 also can be operated in a control mode. Two setpoints can be set and selected via the potential free contact input. The PI-Al- gorithm matches the measured differential pressure by the setpoint and manages the control variable so that a constant pressure results.
INSTALLATION Installation The differential pressure controller DPC310 is designed for wall mounting. • The mounting surface must be solid enough and vibration-free. • The environment has to fulfil the ambient climatic conditions as given in the technical data. CAUTION Material damage...

DPC310 (0...1000 Pa). 5.4 Function alarm output The DPC310 has an open collector alarm output (terminal 7+ 8-); depending on the op- erating mode the function ist different. When an alarm occurs, an exclamation mark (!) indicates the alarm state (2nd line / 16th character).
The alarm delay time can also be set in the menu. Alarm ON: Output voltage steadily greater than: 0.95 • maxU for set alarm delay time Alarm OFF: Output voltage steadily less than: 0.9 • maxU for set alarm delay time Alarm ON = low resitance, Alarm OFF = high resistance 5.4.2 Measuring mode: For limit value monitoring, a limit value can be entered under the menu item “limit switch”.
ΔP > 1,05 x limit value for set switching delay time 5.5 Extern 0...10 V dc input All DPC310 have an additional 0...10 V dc input (terminal 5+ 6-). On the one hand these input can be used for extern setpoint input e.g. for initialization or for application of dyna- mic setpoints in the installed state, without having to manually operate the device menu.
All needed parameters are set in the DPC310, and the temperature ist displayed in the first display row. If the menu item ‚input function‘ is set to ‚temp ctrl setp‘, the next step is the input of temperature t1.
Set value in menu for ‘compensated setp’ 5.6 Measuring range selection The devices of the DPC310 series have each four adjustable measuring ranges, and are available in three measuring groups. Four preset measuring ranges in one device can be switched over in the menu.
