Instructions for use
Your Stoma, wound nurse or physician has advised you to start wearing a stoma belt. For optimal care,
the user should read these instructions carefully before applying the belt. This product is a medical
device and is intended for use by one person only.

Intended use of the product

The EasyCut belt is mainly used postoperatively to support the abdominal wall and prevent the
formation of hernia and prolapse, for example during physical activities where pressure on the
abdominal wall is higher (sports, gardening, lifting, vacuuming, etc.). The EasyCut belt offers the
wearer a high level of wearing comfort, a safe and secure feeling in daily life.

Packaging content

First check that the contents of the packaging are complete and undamaged. If this is not the case,

EasyCut Ostomy Belt
Aperture template

Applying belt

To wear the EasyCut belt correctly, you should preferably apply the belt while lying down. In case of a
fracture, in many cases it will sink back into the abdomen and the belt provides counter pressure. This
way the fracture is optimally supported. The belt is closed in such a way that you can still slide your
hand in between. The belt is then suffi ciently tight to provide support but still wears comfortably.

The circumference of the abdomen must be
measured to select the correct size. Use the size
chart to determine which size is the best fi t.
Fig. 2
Place the belt on the bed (or put it on loosely)
and lie down on top of the belt. Close the front
Velcro closure at the desired tension in such a
way, a hand can still be inserted.
Fig. 3
Center the velour panel around the stoma-
opening (or wherever desired) and mark this
position with a marker. Now open the belt and
remove it.
Fig. 4
Lay the belt fl at and use the aperture template to
mark the round or oval trimlines (depending on
the pouch system) onto the belt.
Fig. 5
Use sharp scissors to cut an opening in the
velour panel along the marked trimlines. The
velour material does not fray.
