IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS!
When using electrical appliances, basic precautionary measures must always be taken in order to reduce the
risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons, including the following:
1.
Read all instructions before installing and using the heating appliance.
2.
The appliance must be connected by a qualified electrician (see circuit diagram, page 9)
3.
Great care should be taken if the appliance is used by or near children or invalids. This appliance is not
intended for use by individuals (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or those lacking in experience and/or instruction unless they are supervised by a person responsible for
their safety or have received instructions from such person on how to use the appliance. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance!
4.
This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Keep combus-
tible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, etc. and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9
m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear of the heater (sides and
rear restrictions apply to location dedicated heaters only.)
5.
This heater is not equipped with a device to control the room temperature.
6.
Always disconnect the heater from the power supply when not in use.
7.
Avoid the use of an extension cord as this may overheat and cause a risk of fire.
8.
Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in operation. Do not use the heating appliance with a
program selector, timer or other control device which switches the appliance on automatically!
9.
It is not permitted to use the appliance in small rooms in which people live who are not able to leave the
room themselves without external help, unless permanent supervision is guaranteed.
10. Heating appliances which are to mounted in a bathroom should be installed in a manner which excludes
the switch from being within touching distance of a person who is either in the bath or under the show-
er.
11. Do not look directly over a longer period of time or from a short distance into the „infrared lamp" when
in operation. This may cause damage to the eyes.
