Important Safety Instructions

The following instructions are for your own safety, the safety
of others and to ensure that the Stargazer is used correctly
and in line with the warranty conditions.
Please note that the Stargazer sleeper is not meant for patient use.
Please ensure that:
• YOU ALWAYS KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS SAFE as you will need them for
reference purposes.
• ALL CARERS AND ATTENDANTS who are responsible for setting up the Stargazer should
understand and follow the set-up instructions. PLEASE ensure that you do not trap your fingers
in any of the moving parts.
• YOU UNDERSTAND the recommended user weight limit for the Stargazer and ensure that
you DO NOT exceed it. This may damage your Stargazer and will invalidate your warranty.
• YOU CHECK the Stargazer regularly to ensure that it is in a suitable working condition and that
there is no damage. DO NOT use the Stargazer if it is not working properly or damaged.
• YOU ALWAYS carry out any positional changes with care.
• YOU ALWAYS use both arms of the chair to move the Stargazer around and ALWAYS stand
in front of the chair when moving it.
• YOU ALWAYS take the necessary precautions and advice when carrying out any movement or
handling operations, ensuring you take account of your own physical limitations.
• YOU NEVER push the Stargazer up or down steps of stairs.
• YOU NEVER move the Stargazer whilst someone is sitting in it.
• YOU ALWAYS LOCK THE CASTORS when the Stargazer is stationary.
• Children DO NOT play on, or with, the Stargazer as this may cause damage and could result in
personal injury.
• NO ONE stands or sits on the arms or back rest as this may cause the Stargazer to tip and/or
damage the Stargazer. To do so may cause personal injury.
• NO ONE stands on the seat or bed as this may cause the Stargazer to tip and/or damage the
Stargazer. To do so may result in personal injury.
