5.7 Shortening the electrode extension
Always depressurise the boiler / add-on housing and allow it to cool down
before dismantling the probe!
The Probe is hot during operation! Severe burns at hands or arms are
possible. During dismantling of the probe steam or hot water may escape!
Danger
Severe burns of the whole body are possible.
• Loosen the screw in the socket, disconnect plug and socket (1+2).
• Unscrew the probe carefully.
• Remove the electrode extension (9) by unscrewing the grub screw.
• Carefully clamp electrode extension (9) directly at the point to be shortened and shorten it
carefully with a suitable tool. Do not distort the electrode extension! Debur cut surface of
the extension before assembling.
• Fitting see Chap. 5.4.
When commissioning the boiler, check the screw connection of the probe
in the flange for tightness and retighten if necessary!
Danger
Extension of an electrode extension is not permitted!
Caution
Probe head - all parts above the thread (7) - are not heat insulated!
