To adjust chain length:
a. Remove bolt (5).
b. Slide chain loops through slots (6) to increase or decrease chain
lengths.
c. Install bolt (5) to lock chain loops in place.
Step 3: Route breakaway cable (7) through loop (8) and attach to towing vehicle
bumper or frame.
IMPORTANT: The breakaway cable length should be adjusted so the breakaway
system applies the brakes only after both the hitch and the safety towing chains
have disconnected.
