    The ALCOLOCK GR alcohol interlock will not cause the vehicle motor to stop. ALCOLOCK GR units consist of a handset that is the link to the driver and an Electronic Control Unit (ECU) for connection with the vehicle.

    DISPLAY ICONS The handset is in communication with the ECU. There is no communication between the handset and the ECU. The power indicator is illuminated by 5 power bars. Charge the handset if only 1 power bar remains. ALCOLOCK GR...

    BATTERY VOLTAGE AND UNIT CHARGING The vehicle battery supplies power to the ECU. The ALCOLOCK GR ECU is suited for 12 and 24V batteries. The vehicle battery voltage can range from 9 to 36V. The handset can be charged using the DC car adapter. It can also be charged at home, using the optional AC power adapter.

    USING THE ALCOLOCK GR PERFORMING A TEST WARNING! DO NOT turn the ignition on. You must provide a breath test first. Turning the ignition key to the on position will cause a “Turn off key” message on the handset display and may result in a violation.

    When you have started the vehicle engine, Drive safely is displayed. WARM-UP AND STANDBY (WHERE APPLICABLE) If applicable, you can place the ALCOLOCK GR device in warm-up mode by pressing the centre navigation button. Service appointments are scheduled at regular intervals to verify accuracy and download the events log. See your Compliance Guide for the interval dates.

    ERROR MESSAGES The ALCOLOCK GR device may not accept a breath test (and may display error messages instead). To minimize errors, make sure that the handset is connected properly, the vehicle battery is in good condition and that mobile phones are not in use during breath tests.
