    Monitor the output of your PC, e .g . playback signal . Direct The signal of the input is sent directly to the output of the DGT 260 . This way you can monitor the signal without any latency .

    Enter Settings mode by pushing the jog dial (9) - the status indicator’s (1) illumination will turn off . In Settings mode you can change all the settings on your DGT 260 including: I/O metering, monitoring options (3), low-cut filter (4), attenuation (5) and gain (7/8).

    . Make sure to download the appropriate version for your Windows version! There is one version for Windows 7 or 8 and one version for Windows 10 . After the installation is complete, connect your DGT 260 via micro-USB cable to your Figure 6 .1 computer, and wait until all drivers are installed and the device is ready to use .

    6.6. Virtual Mixing Console Channel Strip Overview The most important part of the “Control Center” software is the virtual mixing Name Click into this box to rename your channel name . console .     6.10. Settings / Linking / Updates Linking This allows you to link the fader and the mute button of a selected channel . This channel now always has the same volume in both mixes - MONITOR and INPUT 3/4 (VIRTUAL) mix . A blue or green border around the fader and mute button indicates a channel is linked .

    6.11. Ducker FX Hold This defi nes how long after the threshold is undershot the volume reduction will still be active . Setting a very short hold time can result in a chopped sounding signal . Response This value defi nes how responsive your signal is to the ducker effect. A fast setting reduces the volume very quickly, but also restores the channel’s volume very quickly .
  • Page 17 Ducker FX Presets There is no ideal ducker setting as it heavily depends on the intended application . Note that the threshold depends on many factors as input gain, distance to the microphone and your volume . Please see these presets as a starting point . They will need some adjustment depending on your setup and requirements .

    6.12. Presets (Global) Click to show all available presets, import presets, or save your current settings as a preset . If you found your perfect setting, save it as a preset . We have created presets for the most common applications for you . Section 9 - Applications provides detailed expanation of the presets.

    Click on the “Sound” icon . OS X (10 6 and up) Connect the DGT 260 your computer’s USB port . It is plug and play and does not require an installation . Open “System Preferences” in the � menu at the top of the screen .

    . Your average level should be around -18dBfs and the DGT 260 . The bigger the distance the more input gain is necessary to get a strong signal peaks at -10dBFS maximum . This depends on the sound source of course clear signal .
