    Software The server comes pre-installed with all the software needed for operation and setup. • Kiva Presenter — provides you a shot-box style interface with program and preview Media Player control with independent audio program and preview. • Kiva Import — allows you to import media files into the server.

    Server Configuration The Kiva Config application allows you to configure various aspects of the hardware in your server. The number of channels and inputs and outputs you have depend on the hardware installed in your server. Important: Not all settings are available on all servers or require a option to be purchased or installed.

    Channel Label Setup You can assign a custom name to each output of a Media Player. Labels are shown at the top of each Media Player in Kiva Presenter and on each quadrant in the Quad Viewer HD-BNC output. Note: The Quad Viewer Label Overlay option must be enabled for the labels to be visible on the Quad Viewer output.

    Import The Kiva Import file import utility converts all imported media files to the current video output format that the server is operating in.     Tip: You can close the Kiva Import application at any point during an import to stop the process and release the channel. When you start the Kiva Import application again, it will detect the import queue and prompt you to resume.

    Note: The Kiva Import application must be running for the watch folder functionality to work. You can set up the application to automatically launch and start the watch folder function when the server is powered on.

    Kiva Presenter uses sessions to store Media Button information and Page and Bank layouts. When you launch Kiva Presenter you are prompted to load or create a session. The session acts like a database that stores all the Media Button assignments and media item information. The session is continuously updated and saved during operation.

    Settings Player and global setting allow the customization of the Kiva Presenter interface. Player and global setting are stored in the session and apply to all channel pairs. To Set the Player Settings Player settings provide default parameters for the audio and video media players. Some of these settings can be changed for the individual media items.

    When you assign a media item to a Media Button, you select the type of Media Button you want to use. This doesn't change the media item, but how Kiva Presenter uses it. Media Buttons can be assigned to one of three basic types or used for a playlist. What the Media Button is assigned to is identified by the icon on the Media Button and the color used behind the name.
