6.6 Sending Text or Multimedia Messages (SMS or MMS)
Note: Sending MMS is similar to SMS. The main difference is adding media.
Use MMS to send attachments such as pictures, music or video files.
1. Press left direction key (  ) as a shortcut for Messages or go to:
Menu > Messages > Write Message > New SMS
2. Enter phone number directly or press OK key to select a contact(s) manually from
Contacts menu.
3. Scroll through contact list and press OK key to select. At this point multiple contacts can
be selected.
4. Press Right Soft key once all desired contacts have been added.
5. Press OK key to confirm.
6. Press down direction key (  ) to scroll down to message box.
7. Type message, press Left Soft and then OK key to send.
When editing a message, press Left Soft key to see available options:
ƒ Send
ƒ Insert template  I nsert a predefined message. You can add or edit templates at:
ƒ Add contact info  Insert details of contact into message text body.
ƒ Add phiz
 Insert predefined expressions.
ƒ Save as draft
 Save message in Drafts folder so it can be sent later.
ƒ Exit
 Quit message editing.
Note: If text message exceeds 160 characters you will be charged for
multiple text messages. Letters, symbols and spaces count as characters.
How to Type Using Keypad
ƒ The letters of the alphabet are arranged on numeric keys from 2 to 9.
ƒ Whenever you are in text entry mode, to enter a name, send a message or write a note,
mobile phone will automatically change to letter mode.
ƒ The letters written on numeric keys are entered depending on how many times you press
the key. This is called multi-tap mode.
> New MMS
Send written message.
Menu > Messages > Templates.
