Overview
Both front and remote panel versions of the CP-10 operate identically. Instructions for
installing a remote are on the reverse side. For complete documentation, see the AMX
AutoPatch Software & Documentation CD or visit www.amx.com.

Keys & Functions
•
Number Keys: (0-9) enter level, input, output, etc.
•
Arrow Keys: (left and right only) scroll left and right though lists
•
Cancel Key: aborts a command. Returns to Command screen from any screen.
Cannot undo a completed operation
•
Take Key: must be pressed to execute an operation
•
Status Key: queries the system for signal routing information and switch
verification
•
Level Key: prepares the system to receive a level identification number
•
Change Key: opens the Change screen and prepares the system to accept a
Change command
•
Input Key: prepares the system to receive an input (source) number
•
Output Key: prepares the system to receive an output (destination) number
•
Preset Key: used to implement local and global presets
•
Backlight Key: illuminates the LCD (for approximately 20 seconds at a time)
•
Space Key: inserts a space between multiple outputs or multiple local presets
Note: The following keys are not currently implemented – Special, Comma, Period,
Undo, Up and Down Arrows, and Program (only displays software version).
Executing Switches
To execute a switch:
1.
At the Command screen, press the Change Key. The Change screen appears.
2.
At the Change screen, press the Level Key and enter the desired level (if no
level is entered, the system defaults to Level 0).
3.
Press the Input Key and enter the desired input number.
4.
Single output – press the Output Key and enter the desired output number.
Multiple outputs – press the Space Key between each output, entering no more
than 33 outputs at one time. If multiple entries run outside viewing area, use left
and right arrow keys to navigate through entries.
5.
Press the Take Key to execute the switch(es).

Verifying Signal Status
To verify signal status:
1.
At the Command screen, press the Status Key. The Status screen appears.
2.
In the Status screen, press the Level Key and enter the desired level number
(if no level is entered, the system defaults to Level 0).
3.
Press the Input Key or Output Key and enter the desired input or output number.
4.
Press the Take Key.
When verifying an input, output (including multiple outputs) status is displayed. If
no outputs are receiving a signal from the input, "DIS" is displayed. When
verifying an output, input status is displayed.
If no inputs are routed to that output, "DIS" is displayed.
Defining / Executing Global Presets*
To define (program) a global preset:
1.
Route the entire system to the desired state.
2.
At the Command screen, press the Preset Key.
3.
In the Global Preset screen, press the Preset Key again. Ensure the Program
prompt is visible.
4.
Enter the number to be associated with the current system state.
5.
Press the Take Key to define the current system state as a Global Preset.
To execute a global preset:
1.
At the Command screen, press the Preset Key.
2.
In the Global Preset screen, enter the number of the desired Global Preset.
3.
Press the Take Key to execute the pre-defined Global Preset.
* Local presets can be executed, but must be pre-defined. See the XNConnect
documentation on the AMX AutoPatch Software & Documentation CD that shipped
with the enclosure.
Checking the Software Version
To check the software version:
1.
At the Command screen, press the Program Key.
The Software Version screen appears.
2.
Press the Cancel Key to return to the Command screen.
Error Codes
If an error code appears in the LCD, a common troubleshooting strategy is resending
the command to see if the error was simply a timeout error. Other things to check: link
connections, power cables, and power source. If the system still displays an error
code, refer to the instruction manual on the CD or at www.amx.com.
