To test phase reversal on an Eaton Cutler-Hammer LMR controller:
1. Ensure the controller is properly connected: L1, L2, and L3 should be connected to phases A, B, and C respectively. 2. Energize the controller by closing the Isolation Switch (MIS) and Circuit Breaker (CB). 3. Check the alarm display: if the phases are connected incorrectly, the “Phase Reversal” LED will light up. 4. If the LED is on, refer to the dip switch settings (Section 3.5 or attached drawing) to correct the phase sequence. 5. Adjust the dip switch settings as needed. 6. Re-energize the controller and confirm the LED is off.
Additionally, phase loss and reversal can be tested using the “AUTO TEST” switch if equipped (for FT models).
