other condition that may affect the power tool's
operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired

maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are
less likely to bind and are easier to control.

BATTERY TOOL CARE AND USE
Recharge only with the charger specified by the
manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type
of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with
another battery pack.
Use power tools only with specifically designated
battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may
create a risk of injury and fire.
When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from
other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys,
nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can
make a connection from one terminal to another.
Shorting the battery terminals together may cause
burns or a fire.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected
from the battery; avoid contact. If contact
accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid
contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help.
Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or
burns.
Do not use a battery pack or tool that is damaged or
modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit
unpredictable behaviour resulting in fire, explosion or
risk of injury.
Do not expose a battery pack or tool to fire

range specified in the instructions. Charging
improperly or at temperatures outside the specified
range may damage the battery and increase the risk

Do not start using the product until you have a clear
work area, secure footing, and a planned retreat path
away from the falling branches or limbs.
Ensure that the product is in the correct working position
before starting the product.
Do not stand on ladders, platforms, a log, or in any
position that may cause you to lose your balance or
control of the product.
Use the harness if it is supplied with the product. The
harness assists in controlling the drop of the product
after the cut is completed. The harness also helps
support the weight of the product during use and while
moving between cutting positions.
Identify the harness quick-release mechanism and
practice using it before you start using the product.
Its correct use may prevent serious injury in the case
of an emergency. Never wear additional clothing over
the harness or otherwise restrict access to the quick-
release mechanism.
To protect yourself from falling branches, do not stand
directly under the branch or limb being cut. Do not hold
the product at an angle over 60° from ground level.
When cutting a limb under tension, be alert for spring
back so that you will not be struck when the tension in
the wood fibers is released.
Keep the product clean of clippings and other materials.
They may become lodged between the jaw and blade.
Operate the product only in temperatures between 0°C
and 40°C.
Store the product in a location where the ambient
temperature is between 0°C and 40°C.

Before use, check that there are no damaged parts.
Check the product regularly to make sure that it will
operate properly and perform the intended function. Do
not operate the product with damaged or excessively
worn blades. Any part that is damaged should be
properly repaired or replaced by an authorised service
