GEMÜ 658 / 688 is a metal diaphragm valve
with a 2/2-way, T or tank bottom valve body
or in multi-port design. The valve has a two
stage actuator which can be controlled by
inert gases. The actuator has a stainless
steel housing and is controlled by two
pistons working independently of each
other. Function: When control pressure
(connector V) is applied, the lower actuator
piston strokes 100 %. The stroke of the
upper part (connector R) of the actuator,
however, can be steplessly limited from 0 %
to 100 % by means of the stroke limiter 17
Condition:
and secured by the locking nut 16. When a
closed
stroke limiter is used, the actuator piston 13
moves against the stroke limiter 17 and flow
restriction is possible (connector R). If the
lower part of the actuator (connector V) is
under control pressure, the valve fully opens,
pushing the spindle 27 upwards through
the upper actuator piston. The valve body
and the diaphragm are available in various
designs as shown in the data sheet. The
valve has CIP / SIP cleaning and sterilizing
capabilities.
Diverse accessories are available, such
as pilot valves, limit switches and field bus
connections.
