EXCALIBUR SE

Preferences

This pull-down menu provides operator control options.
Preferences can only be set by an operator with Supervisor
privilege. The Set Alt Monitors and Arm/Disarm Monitors
functions are not operational in Excalibur SE -- only the
Operator Preferences option can be selected.
Operator Preferences
The Operator Preferences dialog box, illustrated below,
provides several options. Only the AD Keyboard function
is available in Excalibur SE -- the other functions are not
operational.
The Enable AD Keyboard option, when checked, permits
the AD Keyboard (page 2-4) to be selected by the operator.
To select or deselect this option, click the check box and
select "OK" at the bottom of the dialog box. The selected
action takes effect immediately.

Excalibur SE Window BUTTONS

Several buttons are provided in a button bar at the bottom of
the Excalibur SE Window, as illustrated at the bottom of page
2-7. The following operator control functions may be selected
in the Excalibur SE version. The Control, Shunt, Alarms, and
Mon-A ... Mon-D buttons are grayed and cannot be selected in
Excalibur SE.
Next/Prev arrow buttons
The two arrow buttons at the left of the button bar allow the
operator to scroll through the map sequence in either
direction.
To view the maps of the facility, press the "Next" (right) or
"Prev" (left) arrow buttons. The maps are displayed in the
sequence set by the Maps setup function (see the Excalibur
SE Setup Instructions manual, OP5400SP). When the end
or beginning of the defined map sequence is reached, in
either direction, the sequence starts over. The operator has
no indication which map is first or last in the sequence.
Tour button
The Tour button brings up the AD Monitor Tour dialog
box, illustrated at the top of page 2-7. This dialog box
allows the user to run a Monitor or a System Tour.
All tours must be programmed by the AD Matrix Switcher
to be run from this dialog box. For information about
programming Monitor and System Tours, refer to the
appropriate American Dynamics Matrix Switcher Operating
Instructions manual.
To run a programmed tour, first select the desired Matrix
Switcher using the check boxes at the right side of the
dialog box. Next, select either a Monitor Tour or System
Tour to run via one of the two check boxes at the top
middle of the dialog box.
To run a Monitor tour, select the "Monitor Tour" check
box. (This is the default selection.) Next, enter a
monitor number using the keypad on the left, and press
the "Monitor" button in the middle. Press "Run" to run
the tour.
To run a System tour, select the "System Tour" check
box. Next, enter a monitor number using the keypad and
press the "Monitor" button. Then enter a tour number
with the keypad and press the "Sys Tour" button in the
middle. The system tour starts immediately.
When any tour is running, select the "Hold" button to stop
the tour, "Run" to restart it, and "Next" to step through the
cameras in that tour.
To exit the Monitor Tour dialog box, press "Cancel".
