This manual describes the operating procedures for the American Dynamics Excalibur SE Graphical Security Workstation.
Excalibur SE (System Edition) is provided with American Dynamics CCTV Matrix Switching Systems as a graphical interface
for the control and monitoring of security areas under surveillance of the CCTV system. Excalibur SE provides a user-friendly
operator interface for monitoring activity with video graphics, mouse, touch-screen, and keyboard control.

View/Backup menu functions are not operational in the Excalibur SE version. The first step in using Excalibur SE is to log in. The operator can not select any functions, view any other maps, or even exit the program until he is logged in. If any Excalibur SE functions are selected without logging in, an Operator Message is displayed indicating “No Operator Logged In”. -

EXCALIBUR SE Excalibur SE Icon Controls Selecting an icon from the map display activates the function defined for that icon by the icon setup program, Icons Setup. In many cases, selecting the icon also brings up a dialog box for operator control actions defined for that icon. Depending on the action or type of icon, the icon border changes color when activated. -
