EXCALIBUR SE PROGRAM

Excalibur SE is a user interface program for AD Matrix
Switchers. It allows the operator to call and control cameras
and monitors of the switching system.
To start Excalibur SE, open its icon from the Excalibur SE
Program Group window. The special HASP plug must be in
the printer port connector (LPT1) to open Excalibur SE (see
page 1-3).
When Excalibur SE is opened, the first map of the defined map
sequence is displayed, full-screen, in the Excalibur SE
window. A special function button bar (page 2-7) is displayed
at the bottom of the window, and the following menu bar is
shown at the top of the window:

Log In/Out

Video (not available in SE version)
AD Keyboard
Preferences
Log View/Backup (not available in SE version)
About
Exit
Each menu function is selected by clicking the mouse pointer
on the menu bar name or by pressing the Alt key plus the key
that is underlined in the menu name. The Video and Log
View/Backup menu functions are not operational in the
Excalibur SE version.
The first step in using Excalibur SE is to log in. The operator
can not select any functions, view any other maps, or even exit
the program until he is logged in. If any Excalibur SE
functions are selected without logging in, an Operator Message
is displayed indicating "No Operator Logged In".

Log In/Out

The "Log In/Out" menu function is used for operator login or
logout. A dialog box, illustrated below, is displayed for
selection of either Log IN or Log OUT.
If "Log IN" is selected, Excalibur SE prompts for entry of a
password.
Enter the password from the keyboard and press the enter key.
The operator password is case-sensitive, and must be entered
exactly as entered via the operator setup program. If an invalid
password is entered, or "Log OUT" is selected, Excalibur SE
does not allow this operator to control the system or
acknowledge alarms.
"Log OUT" does not close the Excalibur SE program, only
removes the operator's access to the program. See page 2-9 to
exit from Excalibur SE.
