  • Page 38 APPENDIX C Technical Data continued SCOPE Biphasic Waveform The samaritan PAD delivers a Self-Compensating Output Pulse Envelope (SCOPE) biphasic waveform which automatically optimizes the waveform pulse envelope (amplitude, slope, and duration) for a wide range of patient impedances, from 20 ohms to 230 ohms. The delivered waveform to the patient is an optimized, impedance-compensated, biphasic, truncated exponential waveform that incorporates an escalating energy protocol of 150 joules, 150 Joules, and 200 joules.
