Frequencies Selection

The Select Frequencies feature allows you to
choose frequencies from a pre-defined list.

CTCSS/DPL Codes

The Interference Eliminator Code (CTCSS/
DPL) helps to minimize interference by
providing you with a choice of code
combinations that filter out static, noise and
unwanted messages.

Scan

Scan allows you to monitor other channels to
detect conversations. When the radio detects a
transmission, it stops scanning and stays on
the active channel. This allows you to listen
and talk to people on that channel without
having to change channel. After talking has
stopped in that channel, the radio waits for 5
seconds before resuming scan.
To start scanning, press the SBx (x = 1 or 2)
button. When the radio detects channel activity,
it pauses on that channel until the activity ends.
You can respond to the caller on that channel
without having to switch channels by pressing
the PTT button.
To stop scanning, short press the SBx button
again.
While the radio is scanning, press the PTT
button to transmit on the channel which was
selected before Scan was activated. If no
transmission occurs within 5 seconds,
scanning will resume.
If Interference Eliminator Code is set for the
channel, radio needs to detect the same code
before it pauses on that channel.
Scan lists can be edited using the CPS.
Whenever the radio is set to Scan, the LED
Indicator signals a red heartbeat.

Nuisance Channel Delete

Nuisance Channel Delete allows you to
temporarily remove channels from the Scan
List. This feature is useful when irrelevant
conversations on a 'nuisance' channel tie up
the radio's scanning feature.
