4 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

4.1 Actuation and fixing directions
The centring symbols
on the sensor and actuator must be facing each other.
4.2 Fixing the sensor and the actuator
For correct fixing, other means can also be used, such as rivets, non-removable security
screws or other equivalent fixing system.

Attention: The sensor and the actuator must be fixed
to the machine by means of four M4 screws with a
length of 18 mm or more. The device and the actuator
must never be fixed with less than four screws.
Tightening torque of the four M4 screws from 0.8 to 2
Nm
Attention: As required by EN ISO 14119, the
actuator must be fixed immovably to the door
frame.
After fixing, you must plug the screw holes with the
caps supplied, in order to make them less accessible.
The minimum spacing between adjacent sensor-
actuator systems must be at least 50 mm, in all
directions.

4.5 Actuation distances
When the actuator is brought inside the safe activation zone (dark grey area), the sensor enables
the safety outputs (OUT LED on, green).
When the actuator leaves the safe zone, the sensor keeps the safety outputs enabled and, by
means of the LED ACT (blinking, orange), it indicates that the actuator is entering the limit activation
zone (light grey area).
When the actuator leaves the limit activation zone, the sensor disables the outputs and switches
off the LED OUT.
Attention: The device actuation/release distances can be influenced by the presence of
conductive or magnetic material in the sensor vicinity. The working actuation and release
distances must always be checked following installation.
