According to an survey among doctors conducted by the German market research company GfK and published in January 2016, 96% of all German general practitioners and internal medicine specialists currently use boso blood pressure meters.

    Area of use and safety instructions The boso TM-2450 blood pressure measuring device operates according to the oscillometric principle of measurement. The device is used to take readings over a 24-hour period. It is suitable for use both in hospitals and in community medicine.
  • Page 10 Safety instructions If any liquid has been spilt on the device, immediately remove the batteries and send the device to the customer service department (see page 25 for the address) for inspection. Check the rechargeable or disposable batteries for damage. Never use damaged rechargeable or disposable batteries.

    Selecting the cuff and connecting it to the boso TM-2450 Selecting the cuff Only use original cuffs CA91, CA91R, CA92, CA93 and CA94. The cuff must be selected according to the arm circumference printed on it. Connecting the cuff Screw the air connection plug of the cuff tube directly into the air connection socket of the blood pressure measuring device (see figure 1, page 14).

    Taking readings with the boso TM-2450 Once the cuff has been correctly fitted, a test reading can be taken with the boso TM-2450 using the START/STOP button (the reading will only be displayed if the device has been programmed accordingly). If the display is off, activate it by pressing any button.

    We recommend that the set of batteries in the device should be replaced by a freshly charged set once a 24-hour reading has been completed. In order to prevent data loss, the data stored in the boso TM-2450 are buffered via an internal battery. This internal battery is charged automatically via the external batteries.

    13 hours (see charger manual). Important information on battery charging To ensure that the boso TM-2450 functions properly over a 24-hour period, only use rechargeable batteries with the following rated prop- erties: at least 1900 mAh; 1.2 V; NiMH, or disposable batteries (type AA 1.5 V).

    Extended storage of the device If the device is not used for an extended period (4 weeks or more), remove the external batteries in order to prevent any damage that may be caused by leakage. The internal battery will need to be recharged and the device will need to be reprogrammed before the device can be used on a patient.

    Warranty conditions/customer service We provide a two-year manufacturer's warranty on this product from the date of purchase. The date of purchase must be shown by the invoice. Defects due to material or manufacturing shortcomings are repaired free of charge within the warranty period. If parts are replaced under warranty, the warranty period is extended only for those parts, not for the entire device.
