Filter Installation
1. Simply thread a filter into an empty slot on the filter slider until it is finger
tight. Note that unlike other filter sliders on the market, the Orion filter
slider is designed so that the filters are positioned with the anti-reflective
coating of the filter facing towards the telescope in just the same manner
as placing a filter onto an eyepiece (figure 1). This positioning helps
reduce unwanted reflections from within an eyepieces inner space, lens
surface and filter coatings.

2. Make sure the filters have all been threaded securely into the filter
slider, and check for any rattles which might indicate a loose filter.
#05065 2" 6-Slot Filter Slider includes six 1.25" to 2" adapters so that
1.25" filters can also be used as well as 2" filters (figure 2).

You may find it useful to leave one of the five threaded filter locations
empty, providing an unfiltered option for viewing or imaging.
