Congratulations on your purchase of a quality Orion accessory.

The Orion filter sliders allow quick changing of multiple filters

for visual astronomy or astrophotography. With their innovative

design and compatibility with Orion filters, the Orion filter sliders

let you toggle through different filters with a simple push on the

slider rail without the need to thread filters onto eyepieces in

the dark.

Page 2 Filter Installation 1. Simply thread a filter into an empty slot on the filter slider until it is finger tight. Note that unlike other filter sliders on the market, the Orion filter slider is designed so that the filters are positioned with the anti-reflective coating of the filter facing towards the telescope in just the same manner as placing a filter onto an eyepiece (figure 1).
Page 3 Attaching the Filter Slider to a Telescope Insert the filter slider nosepiece into a telescope’s focuser and lock down tightly to avoid an out of balance filter slider from rotating in place when at its extreme positions. Place eyepiece or camera into the filter slider eyepiece holder and lock down securely using the thumbscrew/s.
Page 4 One-Year Limited Warranty This Orion product is warranted against defects in materials or work- manship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty is for the benefit of the original retail purchaser only. During this warranty period Orion Telescopes & Binoculars will repair or replace, at Orion’s option, any warranted instrument that proves to be defective, provided it is returned postage paid.
