Before first Use
 Remove the device from the packaging and dispose of the packaging
materials carefully; the plastic bags may become a deadly toy for chil-
dren.
 Unwind the FM aerial (9) that is located at the rear of the unit. Unwind it
and extend it to its full length.
 Place the device on a solid and horizontal surface.
 Connect the power cord (10) to an AC outlet.
Listening to the Radio
1. Turn the volume control knob (1) clockwise to turn on the radio and set
the volume.
2. Use the light key (6) to disable respectively to enable the background
light of the frequency range scale.
3. Press the FM (UKW) function key (5) to select the FM (UKW) frequen-
cy band or press the AM (MW) function key (4) to select the AM (MW)
frequency band.
4. Adjust the tuning control knob (7) to select the desired radio station.
Read the frequency at the frequency range scales (2) respectively (3).
5. Use the volume control knob (1) to switch off the radio.
Notes on radio reception:
AM (MW): The bar aerial is located inside the cabinet. In case the recep-
tion quality is unsatisfactory, try repositioning the device until the aerial
picks up the strongest signal.
FM (UKW): The FM (UKW) wire aerial (9) is located at the back of the
cabinet. If necessary, adjust the position of the antenna until the reception
quality is satisfactory.
