PROGRAMMING THE SYSTEM "MORX + TRAN-
7
SPONDER CARD READER"
7.1 - Using the system after the cards are programmed:
notes for the installer (read before programming the sys-
tem) and end user
l The use of the ETP reader is based on recognition of the unique code of each card
saved to the reader itself. When a card is held up to the reader, it sends it its ID
code; if this code is present in the ETP's memory, the reader activates output-1 or
output-2 (i.e. the output mapped to the card when it was programmed). If the card
is not saved to the reader, the reader emits 2 fast beeps to indicate an error.
l To control the automation, the user must have one (or more) cards which
have been saved to the reader, and the installer must provide him with the
following information:
OUTPUT-1, OUTPUT-2:
the output (output-1, output-2, or both, 1 and 2)
the card activates when it is held up to the reader.
TYPE OF COMMAND:
the command (e.g.: partial open, etc.) associated
with output-1 or output-2 of the reader. The command is executed by the automa-
tion when the card is swiped over the reader.

CARD MODE:

the way in which the card must be swiped over the reader to
activate its output. The mode depends on the number of outputs the card can
activate.
l How to use a card that activates only ONE output
To activate output-1
Swipe the card over the reader: it beeps and immediately activates output-1.
To activate output-2
Swipe the card over the reader: it beeps and immediately activates output-2.
l How to use a card that activates BOTH outputs
To activate output-1
Hold the card in front of the reader: it beeps and, after 1 second, beeps again, then
immediately activates output-1.
