Single-pole Phase Test

The single-pole phase test functions
from an AC voltage of approx. 180V AC.
During the single-pole phase test
to determine external conductors, the
display function may be impaired (e.g. with
insulating personal protective equipment or
at insulating locations).
W
The single-pole phase test is not suitable
to test for absence of voltage. This always
requires a two-pole voltage test.
Connect Voltage Tester's test probe
test object. The LED for single-pole phase
test is lit on the display

Voltage Test with RcD/fI Trip Test

For voltage tests in systems with RCD/FI
earth leakage circuit breakers an RCD/FI can
be tripped with a 10 mA or 30mA nominal
leakage current on single phase AC 230 V
power system.
To do this, the voltage is tested between L
and PE and both pushbuttons
simultaneously. The RCD/FI should trip.

continuity Test

The test circuit/object shall be
de-energized before measurement.
• Check for the absence of voltage by
conducting a two-pole voltage test on
the test object
• Connect both test probes to the test
object. For continuity (up to approx. 500
kΩ) the LED for continuity Rx
and the buzzer is active.

Determining the Rotary field Direction

The voltage testers feature a two-pole rotary
field direction detector.
Follow the safety instructions.
The rotary field direction detector is always
active, the LED
However, the rotary field direction can be
determined only in a three-phase system
between the external conductors. The
instrument displays the voltage between
two external conductors.
