Using this programme it is possible to manage your own email account.
In order to use it, the email server must be configured.

To configure these parameters please contact your network administrator.
The first time the programme is opened the wizard installation guide automatically opens, then proceed as
follows:
First page "Welcome to Sylpheed-Claws" – press "Forward";

2. Page "About You": insert the personal data of your own email address
(e.g. – name: maiaxc / email address: maiaxc@aethra.com / organization: AE)
– to proceed press "Forward";
3. Page "Receiving mail": insert the data supplied by your IP provider,
(e.g. – Server type: POP3 / server address: sirmail.vnet.aethra.it / username: maia / password: 123456)
– press "Forward";
Page "Sending mail": insert data supplied by your IP provider,

(e.g. – SMTP server address: smtptop.albacom.net)
the "Use authentication" function is not essential,
– press "Forward";
5. Page "Security": if you want to use the safety protocol SSL, check the relative box;
– press "Forward";
6. Page "Configuration finished": to conclude the configuration and save it, press "Save", the
email programme page will then open.
It is possible to modify an email account or create a new one from the "Configuration" menu.
