AVA-2820/2822/2825 User's Guide

Host Adapter BIOS Address

Switches sw3 and sw4 on the switch block allow you to select the
BIOS address for the AVA-2820/2822/2825. The BIOS is perma-
nently enabled. The BIOS address is set to DC000h and can be
changed using switches sw3 and sw4 as specified below:

CC000h
D8000h
DC000h (Default)

Installing the Host Adapter

Note:
You cannot install more than one AVA-2825 host
adapter in your PC.
To install the host adapter in your computer, the chassis cover must
be removed and the motherboard exposed. Always refer to your
computer documentation for instructions on removing the chassis
cover and adding option boards, such as the AVA-2820/2822/2825.
WARNING:
Ground yourself by touching an unpainted sur-
face on your computer chassis, then turn
nect power to the computer and external equipment before
removing the chassis cover or attempting any motherboard
modifications.
To install the AVA-2820/2822/2825 in your computer, follow these
steps:

Remove the cover of your computer to expose the expansion
bus slots on the motherboard.
