You must use the Controller as specified in this manual. Read this manual before you install and operate the Edwards Turbo and Active Gauge Controller. Unpack and inspect Remove all of the packaging material and check the TAG. If the Controller is damaged, follow the Edwards return of equipment procedures that are laid out in the back of this manual. Do not use the Controller if it is damaged.

Mains-powered backing pumps, which do not have a logic interface (e.g. E2M 1.5), can be controlled by the TAG Controller using an external relay. See Figure 13 for how to connect the relay. A single compatible active gauge can be connected to the TAG Controller. Fit the gauge using an Edwards active gauge cable into the gauge connector located on the rear panel (refer to Figure 9).
