3. CHARGING
Note: Fully charge the battery before first use. There are two charging methods; Direct Charging (Transformer direct to lamp) and
Base Charging (Insert battery into charging base). The latter is useful to charge a spare battery while using the lamp.
Both methods employ the same transformer.
3.1
Direct Charging
3.1.1 Connect the charger into the charge socket on the lamp. Plug into power supply and turn on, the red charge LED (Fig.1.A)
on the lamp will light to show charging has commenced.
3.1.2 When the battery has fully charged (approx 4hrs for LED014 and 6hrs
LED015) the red lamp LED will go out and the green LED (Fig.1.C) will
light.
3.1.3 You can check the battery charge status at any time by pressing the
Charge Level Test Button (Fig.2).
LED A lights to show battery has low charge.
LED B lights to show battery is half charged.
LED C lights to show battery is fully charged.
NOTE! When LED A is lit you should place lamp on charge.
3.2
Base Charging
3.2.1 Plug the transformer into the charge base
socket (Fig.3). Note! With mains on and
no battery inserted, GREEN LED will light.
3.2.2 Insert battery into the base (observing
correct polarity) and turn on mains.
Charging will be indicated by RED LED
which will turn GREEN when charging
is complete. Flashing Red indicates a
problem; check battery is fully inserted or replace battery.
Note: With both charging methods, disconnect from mains when charging has completed.
Note: The Lithium battery does not suffer from memory effect and once fully charged may
be stored for up to six months without another charge.

4. OPERATION
4.1
Direct the lens away from your eyes before switching on.
Switch the lamp 'ON & OFF' using the push switch on the handle.
4.2
Suspend the lamp by the hanging hook.
When the light is hanging from its hook it can be rotated through 360°
for more precise positioning.
4.3
Should you wish to change the battery pack, squeeze the release tabs
(Fig.2) and withdraw the battery pack.
4.4
To replace the battery pack, simply push back into the handle until the
release tabs click into place. The battery pack is designed so it can
only be inserted the correct way.
Note: LED arrays are designed to allow individual LEDs to cease functioning without
causing the entire array to fail. This could be as a result of shock or impact. Shock
or impact will invalidate warranty.
Environmental Protection.
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as
waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted,
taken to a recycle centre and disposed of in a manner which is

of according to local authority guidelines.
