  • Page 5: Chapter 2 Updating The Software

    The Aastra CNX software is packaged in a single file called “full_cnx.dra”. This file will update both the CompactFlash and the onboard flash firmware. You can place the full_cnx.dra file on your PC and use the Update CNX Software button to install the update.

  • Page 7 Step Action In the “Status” section, click Result: The following prompt displays. Enter the location of the full_cnx.dra file in the text box. Click The Select File window displays. Navigate to the location of the full_cnx.dra file and click OPEN to automatically place it in the text box of the Browse window.

Progress can be monitored using the serial console, if connected. When the upgrade is complete, the following message displays on the console: “Upgrade of the Aastra CNX is complete”.
