See the diagram on the following pages for step-by-step instructions
on downloading data to your Pocket PC.
After you have specified a location to which the data will be downloaded, you will
be prompted to select the area that you would like to download. Pocket CoPilot
allows you to download data using one of three methods:
1) City Radius - This allows you to download a specified area around a
city of your choice:
1. Type the city name or ZIP code in the City, State or
ZIP Code box. Hit <Enter>.
2. Select the distance radius around the city and enter
it in the Distance Around City to Download box. Hit <Enter>.
3. Click Next to verify the area you have selected. Notice
that in the Data Download Wizard toolbar you will be shown
the amount of memory your selected area requires, and the
amount of memory you have available. Once you are satisfied
with the selection click Next.
4. Name the map area file. You will then be given the
option to either select additional map data, or download the
selected areas to your Pocket PC.
2) Map Area - This allows you to download data based on a manually
selected map region:
1. Type the city, state or ZIP code in the City, State or
ZIP Code box and hit Next. You may also enter an
Address (optional). Hit <Enter>.
2. You can adjust the zoom and detail levels of the map
by using the icons on the Data Download Wizard toolbar.
3. Click and hold the left mouse button and drag your
cursor to create a box around the desired area of map data.
Click Next.
4. Name the map area. You will then be given the option
to either select additional map data, or download the selected
areas to your Pocket PC.

specific place in mind, leave this box empty). Click the
