NOTE
Chapter 3 Practice Using the TIA Software
In this Chapter
In this Chapter
This chapter provides the opportunity for you to learn about some of the
TIA software's features and operation without the need for connecting
actual signals to the HP E1725C TIA. This synthetic data (data that is
produced by the TIA software for demonstration purposes) is used for this
tutorial to emulate what could be collected from an RLL (1,7) disk drive.
This chapter describes how you would first set the TIA User Interface
software to capture this data and then the steps you could follow to
analyze this collected data.
Some tutorial steps and descriptions in this chapter are specific to the
HP E1741A Time Interval Analyzer software and are not available with
the TIA User Interface software. (Check your disk label to see which type
of software you have.)
The following items are demonstrated in this chapter:
•
Selecting the Preset mode
•
Use of Synthetic Data
•
Purpose of TIA Setup window
