USING YOUR GOPRO IN + AROUND WATER
MAX is waterproof to 16ft (5m) with the door closed. You won't need an
additional housing before diving in.
The touch screen was designed to work when wet, but you may need to
wipe it off if it has trouble sensing your commands. You can also navigate
with your camera's buttons if you're under water. To learn more, see
Navigating with the Buttons (page 20).

Removing the Door

There might be times when you need to remove your camera's door.
WARNING: Only remove the door in a dry, dust-free
environment. The camera is not waterproof when the
door is open or removed.
REMOVING THE DOOR
1. Unlock the Latch and flip the door open.
2. Gently force the door open until it snaps off.
