Clearing the fault memory

The ABS/EBS Code Reader can be used to delete fault memory entries relating to the braking
system, provided these are inactive faults. Active faults can only be deleted once the cause has been
eliminated.
1. Attach the ABS/EBS Code Reader as described in Chapter "5 Installation", page 8.
2. Select menu item "1) Scan" (using the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons).
3. Confi rm by pressing the "OK" button.
 The connection takes a few seconds. Once a connection has been established, the version of
the connected system is briefl y displayed.
4. Select menu item "2) Clear DTCs" (using the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons).
5. Confi rm by pressing the "OK" button.
6. Confi rm the request by pressing the "OK" button.
Clear DTCs?
 All inactive faults are deleted.

Reading out the diagnostic identifi er
The ABS/EBS Code Reader can be used to read out the diagnostic identifi er. This can help your
WABCO partner in providing more precise assistance.
1. Attach the ABS/EBS Code Reader as described in Chapter "5 Installation", page 8.
2. Select menu item "1) Scan" (using the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons).
3. Confi rm by pressing the "OK" button.
 The connection takes a few seconds. Once a connection has been established, the version of
the connected system is briefl y displayed.
4. Select menu item "3) Diagnostic Identifi er" (using the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons).
5. Confi rm by pressing the "OK" button.
 The diagnostic identifi er is displayed. This consists of 8 characters and is normally constructed
in the format XX XX XX XX.
