6. Service

a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified
repair person using only identical replace-
ment parts. This will ensure that the safety of
the power tool is maintained.
b) Never try to repair damaged batteries.
Maintenance of batteries should only be car-
ried out by the manufacturer or an approved
customer service centre.

■ Wear ear muffs when hammer drilling.
Exposure to loud noise can lead to hearing loss.
■ Use the additional handle(s). Loss of control
can lead to injuries.

Hold the tool by the insulated gripping surfac-
es when performing work where the screws
or the accessory tool may hit hidden power
lines. If the accessory tool or the screws come
into contact with a live wire, this may make
exposed metal parts of the power tool live and
result in an electric shock.
■ Collect any dust that is produced; for example,
using a vacuum cleaner.
Safety information for using long drill bits
■ Do not use a higher rotational speed than
the maximum permissible speed. At higher
speeds, the drill bit can bend slightly if allowed
to turn freely without being in contact with the
workpiece and this can lead to injuries.
■ Always start drilling at a low speed and with
the drill bit in contact with the workpiece. At
higher speeds, the drill bit can bend slightly if

Do not exert excessive pressure and only
apply pressure along the length of the drill bit
