Using Remote Management with the

OfficeConnect Cable/DSL Gateway (3C855) and

OfficeConnect Wireless Cable/DSL Gateway

(3CRWE51196)

The OfficeConnect Cable/DSL Gateway and OfficeConnect Wireless

Cable/DSL Gateway can be remotely managed across the Internet. This

would allow a remote user to configure the Gateway while away from the

office. A typical system set-up and the steps needed to remotely manage

the Gateway are described in this document using the OfficeConnect

Cable/DSL Gateway as an example.

Configuring the Gateway To configure the Gateway for remote management, the user must first set-up the Gateway whilst he has access to it from the LAN. To set-up the Gateway: 1. Browse to the Welcome screen, Password tab. 2. Enable the checkbox “Enable administration from an Internet Host”. 3.
