Select the desired option.

1 Select an item with the cursor (%, fi) keys.
2 Press the ENTER key.

The setup completes and the initial setup screen appears
again.
When [Delay time setting] is selected
The ideal listening position for 6-channel surround playback is the
point at equal distance from all speakers.
By setting the delay time for the center and surround speakers, this
item realizes the ideal listening position virtually.
(The center and surround speakers can be set as if they are laid out
on the dotted line circle shown below.)

Setting details
When [Speaker mode setting] is selected
1 Select "Used (Large)" when a speaker with the capability of
reproducing lower frequencies than 100 Hz is connected.
2 Select "Used (Normal)" when a speaker without the capability of
reproducing lower frequencies than 100 Hz is connected.
3 Select "Not used" when the corresponding speaker is not con-
nected.

When [Test] is selected
The built-in test signal of the player is output in the clockwise
direction starting with the front speaker (L). Adjust the channel
balance so that the volumes of the test signal from all speakers
sound identical.
The test signal output continues until the ENTER key is pressed.
