Preparation and Setup This section helps you prepare your tractor and NTA607 or NTA2007 for use, and covers seasonal tasks, and tasks when the tractor/drill configuration changes. Before using the NTA607 or NTA2007 in the field, you must hitch the drill to a suitable tractor, inspect systems and level the drill.

Only trained personnel should work on system hydraulics! Great Plains hydraulic hoses are colour coded to help you hook-up hoses to your tractor outlets. Hoses that go to the same remote valve have the same colour handles.

Brake Hook-up (Option) Two drill braking (trailer braking) systems are available: • Dual-line air system (Figure 8), and • Single-line hydraulic (Figure 9). In both systems, the tractor’s trailer brake remote port(s) operate a hydraulic slave cylinder on the drill.
