Changing the Engine Oil
Service Interval: After the first 50 hours
Every 100 hours

Start the engine and let it run for 5 minutes.
Note:
This warms the oil so it drains better.

Park the machine on a level surface, disengage
the blade-control switch (PTO), and engage the
parking brake.

Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait
for all moving parts to stop before leaving the
operating position.

Place a pan below the oil drain. Remove the
drain plug and let the oil drain completely

Remove the oil filler cap from the top of the
engine

Note:
This helps the oil to drain.
7.
Install the drain plug and tighten it to 35 N∙m
(25-1/2 ft-lb).
Note:
Dispose of the used oil at a recycling
center.

Tilt the seat forward and remove the front engine
panel

Remove the oil-fill cap and dipstick

Use a hose and funnel to add oil to the engine

Add oil slowly, checking the level frequently with
the dipstick until the level reaches the upper
hole on the dipstick. For the correct oil type
