Keeping Your Files Safe
You may have files on your computer that you want to keep
private. Your computer comes with several options that can
help you keep your computer and files safe from unwanted
intrusion.
This chapter describes the security options for your notebook
computer.

Trusted Platform Module (TPM)

NOTE
Your Toshiba computer includes the TPM (Trusted Platform
Module) which is a security encryption device for your
system's hard disk drive. TPM is already included on your
system, but needs to be installed and enabled using the
following procedures.
This section only applies to systems with TPM.
