  • Page 2 User guide for FlexStep Compact The FlexStep Compact stair lift is a wheelchair lift and a staircase in one. The FlexStep Com- pact is normally in function as a staircase. See fig. 1. If at lower or at upper level; to change from staircase mode to lift mode (fig.
  • Page 3 Safety IR Sensors mounted avoid squeezing between the steps. If the IR Sensors are activated when the FlexStep Compact is moving from stair to lift, movement will stop and an acoustic alarm will sound. Underneath the FlexStep Compact there are pressure zones to avoid squeezing objects un- derneath the lift.
  • Page 4 Operating the FlexStep Compact from UPPER level From the upper level, push and hold the button. The staircase starts by ele- vating the ramp to an interlocked roll-off protection (fig. 7). The staircase moves down turning into a lifting platform which is then elevated to the upper level (fig. 8). Move onto the platform slowly, (in wheelchair: lock the wheel brakes), push and hold the joystick DOWN and the lifting platform moves down to the lower level and lowers the ramp.

  • Page 8 Speciel features The FlexStep Compact automatically returns to Staircase mode when neither buttons nor safety sensors have been activated for 60 Auto return   seconds. IR sensors to avoid squeezing between the steps. The EasyLift is equipped with battery backup, to avoid unpleasant situations in case of power failure.
