Turn the device on and pressing the button of the measurement basis select from where the distance will be
measured. Press the volume measurement button. The measurement symbol will be displayed with a pulsat-
ing edge. Carry out the measurement as in the case of a single measurement, and then measure the second
and third distance. The measurement of the distance will appear in the result field of the previous measure-
ment, and the calculated volume will be indicated in the result field of the last measurement.
Measurement by means of a right-angled triangle
This measurement is carried out when direct measurement is not possible, for example there are obstacles
across the laser beam. Turn the device on and pressing the button of the measurement basis select from
where the distance will be measured. Press the measurement button with a right-angled triangle. The meas-
urement symbol will be displayed with a pulsating edge. Carry out the measurement as in the case of a single
measurement, and then measure the other distance. The measurement of the distance will appear in the
result field of the previous measurement, and the distance calculated on the basis of Pythagoras' theorem
will be indicated in the result field of the last measurement.
ATTENTION! The first calculated distance must exceed the other one. Otherwise the result of the measure-
ment is wrong. It is required to carry out the measurements of single distances, which permits to minimise the
error of the indirect measurement result.
Measurement by means of a double right-angled triangle
This measurement is carried out when direct measurement is not possible, and the beginning is above and
the end of the distance is below the measurement point.
ATTENTION! The most precise results of measurements are obtained when the measurement point is in
the middle of the distance to be measured. Any other position of the measurement point will imply an error
of measurement.
Turn the device on and pressing the button of measurement basis select from where the distance will be
measured. Press the measurement button with a right-angled triangle. The measurement symbol will be dis-
played with a pulsating edge. Carry out the measurement as in the case of a single measurement, and then
measure the second and third distance. The measurement of the distance will appear in the result field of the
previous measurement, and the distance calculated on the basis of Pythagoras' theorem will be indicated in
the result field of the last measurement.
ATTENTION! The first and third calculated distance must exceed the second one. Otherwise the result of
the measurement is wrong. It is required to carry out the measurements of single distances, which permits to
minimise the error of the indirect measurement result.
Continuous measurement
Continuous measurement permits measurements in movement. The laser distance meter moves increasing
or decreasing the distance being measured, and the distance is indicated in the display in a continuous man-
ner. This permits for example to determine the distance that must be covered increasing or decreasing the
distance from the surface being measured.
Turn the device on, press and hold the switch / continuous measurement button for approximately 3 seconds.
The device will turn to the continuous measurement mode. Move the laser distance meter reading out the in-
dications from the display. The laser distance meter automatically saves the minimum and maximum distance
measured and shows them in the result field of the previous measurement.
ATTENTION! Moving the laser distance meter to fast may imply incorrect results. In case the „Error" message
is displayed, reduce the speed with which the laser distance meter is moving. In order to return to the single
measurement mode press the switch / continuous measurement button.
Adding and subtracting distances
The laser distance meter permits to add and subtract the indicated values. Turn the device on, measure a
distance, and then press the distance adding and subtracting button, and measure the second distance. The
result will be shown in the last measurement result field. Press the adding and subtracting button again to add
another distance measurement, or to add it to or subtract it from the previous result.
